Sapling is a hat full of optimism. Little saplings flourish around its circumference, reaching ever higher towards the warmth of the sun. A lightweight hat knit in 4-ply yarn, it’s perfect for the first chill of autumn or the last brisk days of early spring.

Materials
• 150-235 yards (137-214 meters) 4-ply weight yarn
• 2.5mm needles (or size needed for gauge), suitable for working in the round using your preferred method
• 2mm needles (or needles 0.5mm smaller than above)
• stitch markers (optional) to note the beginning of the round and separate colourwork repeats
• your preferred blocking equipment
• pom pom (optional)
Sizing
Sapling comes in three sizes: (adult small, adult medium, adult large). It is designed with 2″ / 5 cm negative ease after blocking.
Adult Small: to fit 22″ / 56 cm
Adult Medium: to fit 24″ / 61cm
Adult Large: to fit 26″ / 66 cm
